| Poet and art critic, born in Florence, Tuscany, NC Italy. He showed the influence of Tuscan hermeticism in his early poems I giorni sensibili (1941) and I visi (1943). After the war, his tone became more colloquial in Per le strade di bosco e di città (1954), Coraggio di vivere (1956), and Replay (1980). He is also a translator of French poets, and his art criticism includes Studi su la dolce prospettiva (1964). |
