| biography:
| Convicted US sex offender. After his arrest in late 1964 for sex attacks on women in their homes, he confessed to a psychiatrist that he was the Boston Strangler who had murdered 13 women between 1962 and 1964 in Boston, MA. He was never tried for the murders, because under Massachusetts law a doctor who receives information from a suspect cannot use it as evidence. Sentenced to life imprisonment for his other crimes, he was found stabbed to death in his cell in Walpole Prison, MA. |
