| Poet, born in New York City, New York, USA. He studied at Harvard (1910), and settled in Paris, France (1912). He joined the Foreign Legion during World War 1 and was killed during the Battle of the Somme (1916). He is best known for his poem, ‘I Have a Rendezvous with Death’, first published in The North American Review (1916). |
