| Motor-racing driver, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. He won the Indianapolis 500 four times (1970–1, 1978, 1987), beating his brother, Bobby (1934– ), who won the race in 1968, 1975, and 1981. His son, Al Unser, Jr (1962– ), has also become a champion auto racer. |
