| biography:
| Painter, born in Maklin, Saskatchewan, WC Canada. After studying at Columbia University in the 1940s she started to paint in a style called ‘biomorphic abstraction’. In 1959 she began painting the repetitive abstract grids of vertical and horizontal lines which have preoccupied her ever since. She held an exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Pennsylvania University, in 1973. |
