| Writer, born in or near Middelburg, SW Netherlands. He worked as a solicitor and for local government in the town of Veere. In 1926 he wrote Nederlandsche Gedenckclanck, a book documenting the history of the preceding years and those during the Dutch revolt against Spain. He inserted patriotic and religious songs throughout the story, some of which are still sung today. |
