| Writer, born in Düsseldorf, W Germany. He studied at the Literaturinstitut in Leipzig, then made a name for himself as a poet. His work includes Weg in die Wische (1960), Erwacht ohne Furcht (1960), and Die Kinder der Nibelungen (1964). He also became known as a social and political commentator on the situation in East Germany, and his prose includes Nadelkissen (1979). He is a translator of Georgian and Armenian literature. |
