| Marquess of Turin, born in Canischio Cuorgnè, Piedmont, N Italy. The daughter of Olderico Manfredi, Marquis of Turin from the powerful Arduinici family, she married (1045) Oddone of Moriana-Savoia, the son of Umberto Biancamano, and brought the Turin march as her marriage dowry. Widowed in 1060, she ruled on behalf of her children, who died before her. At her death, the crown passed to Umberto II. |
